Redesigning a space in Melon rewards
At the beginning of this year 2014, a call was made to nine interior design schools in Barcelona to invite them to participate in a unique contest: “Rediseñando el espacio Melon“.
The goal was to create new designs for three of the studios of Melon District Poble Sec and to promote student talent and creativity.
We received a total of eight projects and there were three finalists: One from UPC (students Virginia Barrio and Marta Alonso), one from IED (students Enric Tubau and Elia Tsventanova) and another from LA SALLE and EINA (students Maria Arau and Alba Alonso).
Yesterday the awards event took place on the terrace of the residence, where besides the finalists renowned professionals of the sector were part of the jury: Marcel Benedito (Casa Viva magazine), Begoña Corzo (La Vanguardia Magazine), Pia Capdevila (interior designer), Daniela Cavestany (designer), María José F. Prados (interiores minimalistas blog) and from Melon District, Jeremy Marcazzan, Managing Director and Ricard Perez from TRT.
