Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Barcelona
March 17th … does that ring a bell to you? If you are thinking clovers, gold and beer, then you know where we’re going with this post. Yes! On March 17th takes place one of the most important celebrations in Ireland: St. Patrick’s Day. We’re guessing that St. Patrick is probably the most widely celebrated saint in the world.
St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated worldwide by all the Irish and even by people who don’t have any Irish ancestors, including us and a lot of catalans here in Barcelona. There’s many Irish pubs and bars around the city you can visit to enjoy the perfect environment they create for this irish celebration.
Here’s a list of some of the most famous pubs in Barcelona:
- George Payne
- Michael Collins
- Temple Bar
- P. Flaherty’s
- The Wild Rover
- D9 Bar
They usually get crowded for this day, so we recommend you to arrive early or make a reservation for your group.
What are you waiting for? Take a little St. Patrick’s gettaway and spend the weekend in Barcelona! If you need a hotel or a youth hostel where to stay for an affordable price, then book your room with us. God knows we love St. Patrick’s Day too!
