Summer outdoor cinema in Barcelona
During the summer evenings in Barcelona everyone looks forward to outdoor events like the open air cinema. They are just another excuse to spend an evening with your significant other, friends, or family.
In July and August, and until September, but only for the cinema Mecal Air , Barcelona offers several options to enjoy outdoor cinema with a wide variety of film genres: independent films, animation, blockbusters, etc.

It is actually a short film festival that takes place every Friday at the Poble Espanyol.
- Cinema Lliure a la Platja (Free cinema at the beach)
Alternative cinema with a total of 12 showings spread over the last 2 weeks of July and every Thursday and Sunday of August at 9 p.m. on the beach of San Sebastian. Films are shown in their original version and with Spanish subtitles.
- L’illa (2 €)
Every Thursday in July (only 3 showings left), there are showings in the park behind the mall (Jardins de Sant Joan de Deu) at 21h45.
- Sala Montjuïc (6€)
Montjuïc Castle becomes the perfect backdrop for this film festival that begins in July and is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until the first week of August. Apart from the films, you can always enjoy a concert, and in most sessions there is also a short film before the movie starts.
